2:30PM - Circus Contraption!
Hey, Big Spaceship Gang! Let's go to the circus! ^.^
There are only six shows left, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday @ 8 pm (though arriving no later than 7:30 is recommended for best seats), this weekend and the next. Tickets are $15, and you can order them online.
What say thee? It's an awesome show~~ You know you want to go~~ But you have to make up your minds pretty soon, as tickets are going pretty quick. ^.^
To entice you, this quote from the website:
Circus Contraption announces the imminent arrival of its Grand American Traveling Dime Museum! For a modest admission you will be privy to a vast Collection of Exhibits guaranteed to Educate and Entertain. Featuring Miracles of Man and of Nature, Curiosities of the Past and Marvels of the Modern Age. A veritable Confectionery of exquisite Novelties awaits the genteel Visitor:
- A captivating Carousel of fanciful Fauna Formations!
- Audaciously effervescent (and smartly dressed) Dancing Girls!
- Animated Manikins of undisciplined and disorderly demeanor!
- Masterly displays of extraordinary Aerialism!
- Equilibrism executed with startling accuracy of judgment!
- And as always, outlandishly original Musical Arrangements of the First Quality, performed by the unparalleled Circus Contraption Orchestra!
Again, the remaining dates are June 18-20 and 25-27.
*note* Fri & Sat shows are 21+, (I expect because there may be beer involved.) but Sunday shows are all-ages.

12:20PM - a modest proposal
I detect a lack of community spirit!
It is warm and toasty outside.
That means it is time for warm, toasty snacks.
That's right, folks. We've talked about it. We've hinted. We've hemmed and hawwed. We've screamed it at the top of our lungs in public places and frightened small children.
... MEAT of EVIL!
A picnic for the ages. Bring friends, bring enemies, dotty old relatives, brain-sucking sheep from Zardex IV, bring tofu, bring it live on the hoof, bring a tentacle ripped from the very crepuscular body of Great Cthulhu himself.
Eat the dead. You know you want to.

4:33PM - It's EXTREME!
Okay. I have to go see Van Helsing. I have this weird compulsion. And then I thought to myself, who else might uh, enjoy it? YOU PEOPLE! YOU WITH YOUR BLACK CLOTHING AND YOUR CRAZY MUSIC!
So, anyone want to go take Van Helsing very very seriously with me? Or something.
What times work best for everyone?
Remember your green eyemake up kids!

11:36AM - wisdomless
saheeb138 is home, resting. Poor guy's been through hell, but all four wisdom teeth are now extracted, and his prognosis is very good. The lower tooth that was coming in sideways was a bitch to get out, but the real problem was the upper right tooth that was all the way up into his sinuses -- he actually has non-dissolving stitches over that extraction site, which won't be coming out for ten days.
Doc said everything should heal just fine, though. For now, no sucking, no blowing, no straws. =)
hetaera15 can provide the much more gory details for those so inclined. =)

Dan's still sick. It looks like rather than having a pre-teeth removal dinner, we'll have to plan for a "I can finally eat solid foods again" dinner. Date to be announced when we see how he's recovering. This way everyone will have more notice and rides can be arranged.
So we'll keep everyone posted. :D
6:29AM - not good
It looks like I might not be able to make it to my own dinner. I have the flu. It hit me like a tun of bricks at work last night. I do have a small fever and achy as all hell. I'm not going into work tonight and try to get as well as I can. Sorry. Feel free to go to dinner without me. I'll be there is spirit........uh....who am I kidding......I'm going be achy on the couch praying for sweet death.
I'm crawling into bed now before I fall asleep on the keyboard.

8:28PM - Dan's Last Supper
I know it's short notice, but you're all invited to Dan's last attempt at eating solid foods. Wisdom teeth are coming out Friday morning, so we're celebrating by going to dinner Thursday night.
Place: Olive Garden in Lynnwood.
Time: Either 7, 7:30, or 8 depending on who can make it there.
Leave a comment if you're coming, please, and let me know what time works best for you.
Dan does work that night at 10, so 8 is as late as it can start.
Bring a date! Bring two! Laugh at Dan as he tries to eat croutons!
I hope to see you there. :D

Last year's show at the Paradox Theatre was a lot of fun, from the babygoths dressed to the nines, to the attendance of certain fairly oldschool s.g types (none other than Cat Nilan and David Severski!), to the Ladies' Cello Society's lovely cover of Wish You Were Here.
Tickets are $10 from TicketWeb.
goblinsluck and I are planning on attending. Who wants to join us?

7:09PM - Final Underworld info
As pulled from this post on the crackboard:
- Showing is at midnight tonight at the LCE Meridian 16 Cinemas
(1501 - 7th Ave, Downtown Seattle, corner of Pike and 7th Ave. next to GameWorks and across from The Cheesecake Factory)
- Tickets are $9 each, purchased at the door on the night of the show -- just ask for tickets to the "private midnight showing of Underworld".
- Because it's a private showing, tickets can not be pre-purchased or purchased online.
- They're recommending people show up to the theatre by at least 11:30pm.
- RSVPs will be checked off by Alexia at the door, so look for her and her clipboard.
- Bjorn, Dan, Kate, Riff, Six, tree, Martin, Heather and the "other" Dan are all grouped together under the "Kespernorth - 9" RSVP.
Colette should be listed under her own board nym of "Misericordiaa4".
I didn't recognize anyone else from The Armada, as I'm not a regular on the board.
- RSVP collection was closed today as of about 5pm, with a final count of 199 confirmed.
- Since the theatre holds 230, there may be some non-RSVP and/or no-show tickets available during the last 5 minutes before showtime, but no guarantees.
See y'all at dinner!

11:01AM - Underworld Movie -- IMPORTANT
IMPORTANT: If you're going to go see "Underworld" at the private screening, please either post here so I can RSVP for you -- or RSVP for yourself over at the SeaGoth board. They need a count of how many people will be going so they can switch their reservation to the larger theater if need be.
I've already RSVP'd for myself, Dan, Kate, Martin, Heather, Six, Riff and Tree.
(Dan, Kate, this means you don't need to worry about not being able to post, since I posted for you. Were you unable to register for an EZboards account or something?)

I made reservasions for 15 at Nara Grill (2027 5th Ave Seattle, WA 98121) for 8:00 pm. I would have m ade them at Benihana but they are closed for major renovations =P I called and asked about the price rage and even there $13 meal seems really good. (for our strapped for cash friends)
Thank you so much for wanting to come. I think this is going to be one of the best birthdays in years. =)

9:46PM - Dan's Birthday
So this is as far as planning has gotten:
Dinner at a Japanese steak house (helix90 has taken it upon himself to find one for us, any luck so far?)
Midnight showing of Underworld with the seagoths
(everyone is invited, presents are not necessary by any means, but will be appreciated. If you need ideas, ask me.)
There's plenty of time between dinner and the movie for...well, anything. Suggestions are certainly welcome, otherwise I'm sure we'll just end up at the Mercury.
And please R.S.V.P. so we know how many to make reservations for! :D
